Adding Your Exchange XRP Wallet Addresses as Beneficiaries in Xago

This guide explains how to add your exchange-hosted XRP wallet addresses (e.g., from Luno, Bybit, VALR, Kraken, etc.) as Beneficiaries in your Xago account.

Adding them as beneficiaries allows you to easily send XRP to these wallets from Xago.

Important notes before you start

  • You must already have an XRP receive address (and destination tag, if required) set up in each exchange account.
  • Xago supports XRP (and select other cryptos) for crypto beneficiaries.
  • Always double-check addresses and tags — XRP transactions with incorrect tags are usually irrecoverable.
  • You will need your Xago Authenticator code (from your authenticator app) for each addition.

Step-by-step: Adding an Exchange XRP Wallet (Luno example)
Repeat these steps for each exchange (just select the correct provider and enter that exchange’s details).

  1. Log in to your Xago account.
  2. Go to the Beneficiaries section.
  3. Click the + icon (usually on the far right or top of the screen) to create a new beneficiary.
  4. In the popup, select Crypto address.
  5. Check the box: I am the beneficiary (since you’re adding your own exchange wallet).

  6. Click Next.
  7. Enter beneficiary details:
    • Name: Give it a clear name, e.g., “Luno XRP Wallet” or “VALR XRP Deposit”.
    • Select the radio button: Exchange/Wallet (hosted) Provider.
    • From the dropdown, choose the correct provider (e.g., Luno).
  8. Enter the wallet details:
    • Paste your XRP wallet address from the exchange.
    • If required, paste the Destination Tag (sometimes called memo or tag).
→ To find this in Luno:
      • Log into Luno → Go to your XRP asset → Click Receive (top of screen) → Copy the address and tag shown.
→ If no address appears, generate one first by following these instructions.
  9. Enter your Authenticator Code (from your 2FA app).
  10. Review everything carefully, then click ADD BENEFICIARY (bottom right).
  11. Confirmation: You should see a success message, and the new beneficiary will appear in your list.

Repeat for other exchanges
Follow the same process for each additional exchange (e.g., VALR, Kraken, Bybit).

Just change:

  • The friendly name
  • The selected provider from the dropdown
  • The address/tag from that specific exchange

Troubleshooting tips

  • Tag is optional? Only leave it blank if the exchange explicitly says no tag is needed (rare for hosted XRP wallets).
  • Error adding? Ensure the address is valid XRP format (starts with ‘r’), tag is numeric (if present), and your 2FA code is current.
  • After adding, test with a very small amount of XRP first to confirm it arrives correctly.

Once all your exchange XRP wallets are added as beneficiaries, you’re ready to transfer XRP between them quickly and easily via Xago.
