Trading Tips for Kraken:
- Always make sure your trade amounts meet or exceed Kraken’s minimum trade requirements to avoid temporary API key lockouts. You can find these minimum trade amounts here. Currently, the minimum XRP is 2, though this can be subject to change due to the price of XRP changing.
- If you encounter API rate limit restrictions, reach out to Kraken support—they can often increase your limits manually to accommodate your needs.
Important: Kraken offers two account types. If you are using the standard Kraken interface instead of Kraken Pro, you will need to switch to Kraken Pro first.
To confirm your account type, log in and look at the upper left corner—if it says “Kraken Pro,” you’re already using the correct interface.
If not, go to the upper right corner and select “Kraken Pro” from the menu.
